Year 2 Trip to Holdenby House
This week both classes enjoyed the same experience but on different days. The weather was kind to us and the days were action packed and full of interesting activities. We learnt how to read a map and navigated our way down to the pond. We discovered so many creatures whilst pond dipping and used our charts to identify their features. We trekked back to the woodlands and were set the challenge of making a den. After lunch we created some beautiful natural art. Finally we settled by the campfire to enjoy toasted marshmallows, popcorn and a cup of hot chocolate. A huge thank you to all adult volunteers and staff that accompanied Year 2 to ensure both days were great!
"We went on the coach. I loved cooking the marshmallows" Tori
"My favourite part was weaving as I was really impressed with myself" Amelia
"I loved pond dipping and finding all the creatures in our nets. I found a baby newt" Summer
Year 3 Trip to Stratford Butterfly Farm
On Tuesday we visited the Butterfly Farm. We saw exotic and vibrant coloured butterflies and observed the amazing life-cycle. We also saw lots of mini-beasts.
"I really liked it when the butterfly landed on my shoulder. My favourite butterfly was the owl butterfly" Wyatt
"My favourite part of the day was seeing Millie the millipede and all the other mini-beasts. All the butterflies were beautiful and bright" Georgia
Year 4 Gymnastics Festival
A huge well done to the Year 4 girls that took part in a Gymnastics Festival at Queen Eleanor Primary School on Thursday afternoon. They did a great job of demonstrating good balance, flexibility and coordination. Their behaviour was exceptional and they listened carefully to the instructions for the moves they had to perform. Thank you to Mr Scott and Mr Gardiner for organising this event.

Messages For School - Collection Arrangements
During the school day, the office has been getting inundated with an increasing amount of messages to be passed onto classes regarding changes to collection arrangements for children. Messages for children/teachers must be given to Teachers/Teaching Assistants at the beginning of the school day. Alternatively a written note or a note written in your child's homework diary can be passed on to teachers via your child. If your message is of a more urgent nature, please get these message to the office by 2.30pm where possible.
