Tree -mendous trees!

Trees, trees and more trees has been the theme in EYFS this week!  The children have explored the trees in the school grounds and all had the opportunity to, 'Hug a tree'.  We have talked about why we need trees and we told the children about planting trees and not chopping them down!

We have perfected our skills of drawing what we can see and looking carefully at lines and patterns in trees and their leaves.  We have drawn leaves and painted imaginative trees.  The children have produced some amazing work which will be on display soon.  Here is a sneak preview...

Fee Fi Fo Fum...we found the belongings of a giant!

Fee Fi Fo Fum We found the belongings of a GIANT!!

Over the Easter holidays, while you all received a visit from the Easter Bunny, the Early Years had a different visitor. We found muddy boots, clean clothes hanging on a washing line, a hen with golden eggs and a big mess at the snack table! I think someone was eating breakfast before they left.

“It must have been something bigmaybe a dinosaur.” Suggested Finlay. After looking at all the clues Lockie and Sophia concluded that it must have been a giant from the story Jack and the beanstalk.

We all had fun with different activities and enjoyed being back at school with our friends.
