Year 5 Saints Presentation
On Wednesday evening, we had the opportunity to celebrate the achievement of the Year 5 children who had been attending the Success Programme at the Saints Study Centre. A very big thank you to all the parents/carers and families who came along to Franklin Gardens to support their children. A good night was had by all.

The Friends Movie Afternoons
A big thank you to the Friends for organising the Movie Afternoon events which were enjoyed by all. They raised £761.63!
The Friends will be holding a Christmas raffle from Monday 11th December. More details to follow.
Year 5/6 Junior Strictly
We have made it to the finals!
The Grand final will take place on Saturday 23rd June 2018. After school club will resume in March. A letter regarding final arrangements will be given to the children closer to the time.
Lunchtime Supervisor Vacancy
Our Lunchtime Supervisors play an important role in ensuring that lunchtimes continue to be "harmonious occasions" and we are looking to recruit a new member of the team to start in January 2018.
This is a permanant position of 7.5 hours per week for 38 weeks a year. Anticipated start is 4th January 2018 subject to a DBS check.

Clubs - Autumn Term 2017
Last week for School-led clubs week commencing 4th December 2017.
Magic Club finishes with a performance for parents/carers on Wednesday 13th December 2017 3.15 - 4.00pm in the school hall. Children will go to Magic Club as normal at 3.00pm.
Pacesetter Gymnastics and Futsal Clubs finish week commencing 11th December 2017. Please be aware that Gymnastics on Wednesday 13th December has been changed to Tuesday 12th December that week.
Hotshots last session will be held on 15th December 2017.
The Abbey Primary Choir - Year 4, 5 & 6
The Choir (Years 4, 5 and 6) are going to be really busy this Christmas and are already working hard on their Christmas songs and carols. They will be singing at the following events, so I hope that you will be able to come and support them with their beautiful singing:
Grosvenor Centre - Friday 15th December 2017 11.00am (Year 4, 5 & 6 Choir) - Carol singing while you shop!
Delapre Abbey Christmas Fayre - SATURDAY 16th December 2017 1.00pm (Year 4, 5 & 6 Choir) - The choir's new venue for Carol singing in this most beautiful setting.

Extra tickets are first come first served.
Refreshments will be available before the performances start. Doors open at 9.30am and 1.30pm. Please arrive promptly.
At the end of each performance we will be collecting for 'The Childrens Society'. Any donations will be gratefully received.
Year 5/6 Christingle (St Mary's Church) - Thursday 14th December 2017 6.00pm (No pre-school children/babies allowed). Tickets will not be needed for this event.
There will be a collection during the evening in aid of St Mary's Church.
Messages
Please ensure messages regarding change of collection arrangements are reported to your child's class teacher at 8.40am or alternatively to the school office by 10.00am. Unavoidable late changes to be reported by 2.30pm where possible so that messages can be passed to children in time.

Please ensure that any changes to contact and medical information is reported to the school office immediately so that we are always up to date.
Message from School Governors
Governors would like to remind parents/carers that any incidents of unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated and could result in a parent/carer being banned from the school premises.
Governors appreciate that the majority of parents/carers set a good example to their children and incidences of disrespectful behaviour are rare. Please help us to keep it that way.
School Meals
Our meals are provided by Chartwells. If you wish to book school meals, please book with Chartwells using your child's login for ParentPay. Please book your child’s meals a full week in advance, the deadline of which is midnight on Tuesdays for school meals required the following week. If you miss the deadlines, you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch.
Chartwells Christmas Lunch - Wednesday 13th December 2017
The Chartwells Christmas lunch will be held on Wednesday 13th December 2017. If your child would like a Christmas meal on this day, please ensure you make a booking via your child's ParentPay account. Bookings to be made in the usual way one week in advance by Tuesday 5th December 2017.

Primary School Places September 2018
Primary School places - If your child turns 4 before 31st August 2018 you need to apply for their primary school place by 15th January 2018 5.00pm.

Inconsiderate Parking
If you have any concerns or complaints regarding parking issues, please report registration numbers/incidents to the school office, Northamptonshire County Council and Northampton South West Police via the following links:

Please show consideration to our residents and parents/carers when parking outside school. We also ask that you drive slowly, 5MPH, on the school driveway.
Please do not park on both sides of the road outside of school as this prevents emergency services from accessing this road. Do not park on the zig zag lines or block driveways. Please show consideration for our local residents and think about the safety of ALL OUR CHILDREN!
