Who are Friends of The Abbey Primary School?
The Friends of The Abbey Primary School are a dedicated group of parents, carers, staff and supporters who help raise funds for the school through fun family events held throughout the school year.
The money raised helps provide additional opportunities and resources that benefit our pupils and enrich their school experience.

How Funds Are Used
Profits from fundraising events are used to:
- Subsidise the cost of school trips
- Provide new playground equipment
- Contribute towards projects that benefit pupils and their families
Fundraising Events
Throughout the year, the Friends of The Abbey Primary School organise and support a variety of community events, including:
- School Fete
- Discos
- Bingo
- Movie Afternoons
- Ice Lolly Fridays
These activities help bring the school community together and create enjoyable experiences for children and families.
How Can You Help?
As the saying goes, "Many hands make light work."
The Friends Association relies on the support of volunteers to continue running successful fundraising events. There are many ways you can help, including:
- Helping at school events
- Attending informal Friends meetings
- Supporting the preparation and organisation of events
Meetings are held during the school day and pre-school children are welcome to attend.

If you are unable to volunteer, you can still support the Friends of The Abbey Primary School by:
- Donating raffle prizes
- Encouraging your child to take part in fundraising activities
